Explosion in Athlone town centre

Just got home for town and it's like 9/11 down there! The roads are all closed off around town and there's huge amounts of smoke billowing out of O'Neill's Pub.

Supposedly there was a gas leak and it took out a huge chunk of Mardyke street including the auctioneers there and Gannon's Butchers :eek:
