Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

slide machine??

    hey guys just wondering if anybody knows where i can get a slide machine for looking at old slide?? the slides are from mid - 75 and we would like to either put them on a dvd or just watch them the old fashioned way... any help greatly appreciated:)

    there's a slide projector on adverts that it looks like no-one picked up ...

    other than that, check freecycle (or whatever it's called nowadays), people are probably giving away their slide projectors nowadays. Or maybe someone here might have one lying around.

    As regards getting them onto DVD, do a search here for "scanning film" for a bunch of threads on the subject. You have two options, get someone else to do them, or buy a scanner and do them yourself. Depending on your budget, expectations, amount of slides you have etc etc either option might be a better idea.

    I'd stick with the projector idea though. A projected slide is going to beat a crummy DVD slideshow any day.
