Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The local Soup Kitchen hosts a Christmas Dinner each year for anyone who is alone on the day. I went along to document it. Only stayed about half an hour. A few there asked that they not be photographed. Here are a few from the set.

Hey T do they really have Santi on a sunny beach in Australia or is that just one of those childish play ground rumours?

Nice smart set of photos and a very merry christmas to yourself too.

Great stuff, lovely to see people who have nowhere else to get all having a nice day together. Fair play those volunteers!

Now me being pedantic ... the second shot, looks distorted a little, you were very wide on this one? Not that it matter, just the heads look a little strange, overall you captured some great shots and looked to be a good vibe there.

That is the idea. Good thing is that they had more volunteers than needed to cook serve and clean up.

It happens. Then Santa is everywhere! (or is that Satan?) Anyway you will see him on the beach in all his Winter Clothes.

The atmosphere was a bit weird. The mood with the workers there was really good and they did a great job. Out in the dining room it was fine. There is a happy veneer but you could also feel the resentment underneath. It's hard to describe but it's like they were pleased to be there and getting a Christmas Dinner and have some company but with some you could feel the emptiness that the only people they could spend the time with were others on the bottom rung of society. There were some shots there which could have portrayed that conflict of feelings but to take them would have crossed the line.
