MF DOOM and Masta Ace have a collabo album completed, no release date set yet. It's called MA DOOM: Son of Yvonne.
Should be interesting. Might see this in 2011.

Blu & Exile have an album completed as well.....it was completed in 2009 and never released. Should be out by the end of this year.
Blu also has an album with him and M.E.D. and Madlib handling production that is slated for this year. That should bring it up to 5 albums from Blu this year....Jesus, NoYork and Her Favorite Color.

From 2010 but just getting me more hyped for Yela's Radioactive. Loving this tune, brilliant sample from The Cars - I'm Not the One.

You can also add the Doomtree album to your list.....

s I’ve mentioned here before, we’ve spent the last four months or so frantically writing, recording, and mixing this new Doomtree crew album, and yesterday we officially finished mastering this beast!!! Such a huge exclamation point on an absolutely jam packed summer. There is still an insane grip ton of work to do, but getting the music all wrapped up is always an enormous step in the right direction. Tons more info about this record coming way sooner than later. No Kings. 11/22/11.

He also pointed out that you can listen legally to the new Astronautalis album here.

Excellent, didnt know that there was a crew album coming out.

Cecil Otter from DTR should have an album this year as well. This is what I am most looking forward to.

There are also a heap of other albums due out, but the above list is of albums that have a confirmed release date.

    New Dessa

Brand new track from her from the album, Castor, The Twin which is out early October, the rest of the album is basically 10 previous tracks of hers reworked.

She released this info a while back about Castor, The Twin to the Doomtree mailing list. She wanted to see how quiet the 'true' fans could keep it until the official announcement.

There is also an album of new material in the pipeline for early next year. The Beekeepper is also the first single from the new album
    A message from Dessa

    Hello errrybody.

This is Dessa writing with a bit of news. But before delving into announcements, I wanted to issue a quick ‘thank you’ for joining the mailing list. You may have noticed how often Doomtree does not grace the pages of your hip hop magazine. For the most part, we rely on word-of-mouth instead of ads, and we reinvest our money in making music. The mailing list is one of our most valuable tools—skips publicists and reporters and gets straight to the people who dig our stuff.

Short story long: the mailing list is good for Doomtree, and we want to make sure Doomtree is good for the mailing list. Look out for more advance info, project previews, and better content. We’re upgrading.

Okay, enough small talk. Here’s today’s catch:

I am putting out a new record. It’s called Castor, The Twin. It comes out on October 4th. This is the album cover.

    CastorTheTwin_web.jpg

We haven’t shared this info with anyone, though we will soon. As an experiment, would you keep the info to yourselves, until we make the announcement? I’d like to see how badly this ship leaks. (My secret hope is that the mailing list is an airtight superforce of true believers, who would resort to the cyanide capsules in the linings of their jackets rather than share exclusive content. We’ll find out.)

The album is 11 songs long. Ten of those songs have been previously released on Doomtree discs or on my most recent record, A Badly Broken Code. For this project, however, an ensemble of [really effing talented] of live players ambitiously reshaped the material. Stand-up bass, viola, grand piano, vibraphone, mandolin, and timpani make for a classical sound and the organic instrumentation pushes the lyrics of each song to the forefront. The 11th song is called “The Beekeeper” and it’s the first single from my next full-length, due in 2012.

    1. 551
    2. Kites
    3. Mineshaft
    4. The Chaconne
    5. Into The Spin
    6. Dixon's Girl
    7. The Crow
    8. Alibi
    9. Palace
    10. Mineshaft 2
    11. The Beekeeper

Nice. Very different, but so far so good.

So far it is very heavy, wont be listening to these to chill out and do any study or work anyway unlike entrodoucing.

I gave it a few listens, the last third of the album is weakish compared to the start. But, i'll be giving it a few more listens.
