Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I took the cam home with me to take some shots over xmas, indoor mostly so far. They all have a orange kind of colour to them, even after trying different white balance settings, unless shooting with the flash.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just unavoidable with dimly lit lights/lamps and candles? Is it something you try to remove in photoshop/lightroom?

I'll see can I find a usb cable and upload one or 2 pics.

2 of them are blurred but show the orange/yellow-ness of the shot. Same picture with a flash looked fine, if a little to white and clear. The last two, I have in RAW and managed to get them to look better, also, big yellow lamps behind me that didn't help.

I've to many pics on the card that I'm not sure I have backed up or not so didnt want o delete them and shoot RAW :( Must also get another 8gig card for shooting RAW.

EDIT: Will definitely have a look into custom white balance settings

What white balance settings have you tried? There's no way a tungsten white balance setting should come out like this.

I', not sure what was used for those pics, anyway I can check? I tried a few different settings but I can't remember which pics they were. Those 3 are some of the worst though, this ones a bit better:

I think for the first photo you were using normal mode, and that automatically determines the white balance that it takes it in. judging by the Exif data..

It looks like you are shooting with the white balance set to daylight instead of incandescent/tungsten.

Auto white balance usually gets it right, on my phone at least.

They can be corrected a bit by adjusting the RGB levels in a photo editor, though the really far gone ones are probably a bit far gone.
