Spurs: Gomes, Hutton, Kaboul, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Modric, Palacios, Bale, Van der Vaart; Defoe

Really looking forward to this one, hopefully lots of goals.

Didnt realise Villa were missing so many! Should be a great game anyways. On paper it looks like a handy Spurs win but we all know thats never the case with us!!
I'm going for a 2 goal win, Defoe and VDV to score, wouldnt surprise me to see Heskey causing us problems like he did at the Lane.

I've gone for Spurs at 23/20 and over 3.5 at 2/1.

    Rubbish Villa line-up.

I threw 4 euro on a 2-1 Spurs win with VDV scoring first to keep me interested. Would've went for a bigger Spurs win had i seen the line-ups.

Good start from Villa - has Dunne been axed?

Not even on the bench, same for Ireland. Bizarre.

Dropped and on his way out apparantly.

He was told he was fourth choice CB I think.

Nasty tackle from Albrighton completely overlooked by Gray.

That's disgraceful . I like villa as my Grandad supports them but houllier seems to be doing a terrible Job so far IMO

Shocking tackle and not even a card shown.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Really worrying for the Irish team that our best players (Given, Dunne, Ireland, Keane) aren't getting their game for their respective clubs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

VDV got up straight away in fairness to him.

Gomes, that man is gonna give me a heart-attack some day...

    Should have been a peno

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

    Definite peno

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Very sloppy from Spurs so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

That was the most inconspicuous challenge I ever seen from Lichjaj or whatever his name is..

    Damn!! Looked out anyhow..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

I'm not sure if that was out. Bit lucky there for Villa

Dunnes been rubbish all season. If anything houlier was too slow in dropping him.

Not hard to see where our lack of clean sheets stems from..:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Embarassing defence from Villa there. Two chances to get to that ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Get the fcuk in!!!!!!!!! All about Modric, what a fcuking ball!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,003 ✭✭✭✭The Muppet

Collins was worse from what I have seen. Again at fault for the goal.

Sublime pass from Modric for the goal, what a player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

No way was that a red. Yellow yes, no way a red.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

Harsh red there. He led with the arm but it wasn't intentional

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,003 ✭✭✭✭The Muppet

    Harsh red IMO

Wasn't a red card . I've seen worse gone unpunished

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Joke. WTF like!? He didnt even look at him ffs...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,235 ✭✭✭✭flahavaj

    Yellow card offence IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

Anyone else think it was a red?

I thought he had a sneaky look(corner of the eye stuff) at Collins just before the jump and then lead with the arm/elbow.
    IMO good call ref!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Gomez being pelted with snowballs! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

It did look worse at first (as he seemed to come in hard) but should only have been a yellow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,490 ✭✭✭Ordinary man

Should be yellow but red will do. :D:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,146 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

    Very harsh imo.

Maybe a yellow as a warning, but red was definitely too much.

I thought that initially but had a closer look at the replays. From what I could make out, Defoe had his eyes on the ball the entire time. Should not have been a red.

He'll get it over-turned on appeal. Could be too late by then though!
