I'm looking to get a watercooling pump to get before new years to test my set up out as getting my cpu then to finish my build. Would anyone know anywhere in ireland to get one as postage is out of the question with this weather for the moment?
Would prefer a mcp655 but beggars cant be choosers, would even consider buying second hand and would pay full prices either way as really want to get it up and running asap.

I had a look and i think you wont find one to pick up.
The weather has improved so you might get lucky ordering online.

I found one on here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-004-SW
When i tried to order the earliest delivery date was the 31st.

Try Pixmania for other pumps too as they might be shipping.
The other places i order WC gear from are closed til the 4th.

What fittings are you using and what size hose?
If you are using compressions or you need G1/4 thread for your barbs the 655 needs a top like this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-092-EK&groupid=962&catid=1534&subcat=
    Its out of stock though.

Whats the rest of your loop?

    Just got these recently:

I also have an apogee gt and another rad which is 240mm. I might watercool my graphics card also but not sure if the two rads are enough for that and cant fit anymore inside the case. I didnt know that about the pump, will have too try get one of them now also to finish it :(

Well you dont need a 655 for one block and two rads thats for sure.It is a very good pump though (pricey) and would allow you to keep it if you added to the loop.
There are other pumps you can look for and the 18w one will give you some headroom.

Here is a bundle of pump and top 18w
    http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=7566&cat=1215&page=1
    and the 10w version
    http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=7565&cat=1215&page=1
Those tops will have the standard 1/4" thread that will fit the compressions you have.

I notced you got hose clamps, not needed for compressions.
What res did you get as its not listed above?
Did you plan the route of the hose as you didn't get any 45 or 90 angled fittings and you may struggle with the bend radius of the hose if you have tight bends?
As for adding gfx to the loop with a single and double rad it depends on what they are and what fans you will be using on the rads.Remember if you add a gfx card to the loop your cpu temps will suffer a small bit.The gfx will benifit alot if WC'ed.

I got the clamps as was planning on using them for the pump as didnt realise you can change the tops on them. I would prefer to get a bigger pump as am thinking about modding the case to fit another rad in it in the future. But if cant get that one would get pretty much any pump that would do me for the next while until I get another. I'm too impatient for my own good :(

Yea have been checking the likes, have already checked adverts and there is only one for sale but think the guy only really wanted to show off his rig rather than sell it. Think at this stage my only option is too be patient and buy from the uk. Might just pick up this, would it be fine for fittings I bought? http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=11512
I didnt realise that was your watercooled machine in the pictures section, have one of the two pics on my desktop :), Just noticed when I was looking in it there, really like how tidy it is :) Just one thing would change is the power connector for the graphics card, I would wrap it past and around the tank then behind the motherboard rather than sending it down in front.

Yeah that bundle would be fine with the fittings you have.
Have you decided how your mounting the pump? It does come with a bracket but it will vibrate/resonate if you dont use some sort of padding.

I presume your going to be using distilled water since you bought the dye.Did you buy a silver coil for the res or a biocide additive to prevent nasty growths in the loop?

Thanks for the kinds words about my rig:)
As for the dam gfx power leads, they annoy the hell outta me
There sleeved extensions and impossible to bend in a tight radius so no chance of fitting behind or around the res neatly.
When i break it down for paint i will get another mid-plate and not drill a hole for the cables this time.If i sleeve the psu cables they should be more flexible and it might work then.

For the sound proofing was going too cut a bit out of a medical mattress and glue it too the case and the pump and see if that worked and if not get a bigger tank that could install it into so is submerged in the water.
Yea i'm using distilled water, didnt know would need biocide, where would I get that? The silver coil, is that for the tight bends in the tubing? If so have it for the tight bends if needed yea, if its something else dont have it. As you may have realised this is my first watercooled build so am dying to have it finished :)

If your ordering from Specialtech you can get either there.

    http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=12493&cat=1227&page=1
    or
    http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=5032&cat=1227&page=1

The Silver coil is put inside the reservoir and does the same job as the biocide.
I use biocide but will use the silver coil next time as i'm not so sure the biocide isn't reacting with my tubing.

Be weary that the pump gets warm so try not to use anything for padding that will insulate the heat.As for submerging the pump i'm not 100% sure but almost certain you cant do that with the 655.

IIRC only the mains-voltage adapted pond pumps used mainly by Zalman can be submerged.

Will get the Silver coil stuff then. I taught as comes in this pack that would be able to be submerged http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=12636&cat=1631&page=1. Didnt know zalman use pond pumps, my brother has a 3000lph one maybe could try that :P He also has 4 or 5 smaller ones.

Its a frontbay reservoir designed to attach a couple of MCP655s to its backplane ;)

I taught the pump would actually be in the fluid in it :P. So no use for me then.
