Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hp Pavillion help?

    Hey guys, am posting this on behalf of someone else....a Hp laptop Pavillion was purchased in Oz a few weeks back, was working as normal until they came back to Ireland and now its slow to turn on, the sound is gone, Its not re booting, a viral check has confirmed 233 odd errors and in general is driving him mad...Would anyone have ideas what he can do, oh and he cant bring back to factory settings as he has work on it and cant get the work off it as it wont boot up correct!

    If his main concern is getting the data from it then boot it from a Linux Live CD like Ubuntu and copy the data onto an external USB drive. Then restore to factory settings and this time be more careful ;)

    Alternatively, you could go down the route of trying to remove whatever viruses are on the machine.
