I'm thinking about Bohermeen half on 3rd March, but I haven't committed to it yet. I'd say that will be the last race I do before London. What about yourself? Anything else planned in between Donadea & London? :)

I'm also doing Bohermeen:) You should sign up for it, lots of London-bound folk are running it (Well, younganne, meno and me:))

Thanks Anne, I had a bit of a blip at the start of Jan, with flu, but that seems to be the case for the majority of peps. Things have picked up since, thankfully. 10m is grand, and you are getting plenty of runs in during the week, so don't worry, there is plenty of time for upping the LSR's :) Plus, with your coach, you'll not go wrong.

I think between yourself and Marthastew, ye have nearly sold it to me. Will see how next couple of weeks training goes, and take it from there.

Wed 23/01 - An short easy run tonight, more for my head than anything.Really enjoyed it. A perfect night for running. 4.05 mile avg 8.57 pace.

Thurs 24/01 - LSR. Had to get this done today, as I am doing Dungarvan on Sunday. All in all, an ok-ish run. Hit a low point at mile11, but it passed. Last mile wasn't too pretty, but glad to get it done. 18.20 miles avg 8.47 pace.

No running until Sunday's 10 miler. Not looking for a pb, just want to get around it in once piece and collect my tee-shirt

Sun 03/02 - Recovery run along the beach trail. Lovely on the way down, not so much on the way back, the wind was a b*tch. 4.05 miles avg 9.09 pace.

Knew I was tempting fate by saying that  Since Friday I've been absolutely shattered.

Fri 08/02 - Fit for nothing.

Sat 09/02 - LSR. Was glad of this step back in milage, but surprised at just how tired I was from the first mile. 13.1 miles avg 8.28 pace.

Sun 10/02 - Really had to drag myself out for this short one. Felt a bit better by the time I got home. 4.10 miles avg 8.39 pace.

Mon 11/02 - Speed session. 14 x 70 secs intervals with 40 sec recovery. Found this tough, in particular the 9th one, when I felt like I was wading through water :o. With warm up/cool down 5.50 miles covered.

RubyK, great training going on here...the tiredness ...have you had bloods done lately and gotten your iron levels checked...you know all the cool ladies are on Iron;);)

London - 10 weeks to go

Cheers Younganne, if the tiredness doesn't ease off this week, I might get them done :)

Tues 12/02 - A bit of a creaky slow start to this one, as I could feel the TFL and psoas muscles making their presense felt (well they have been since before Dungarvan really, will take a trip to the physio if it doesn't settle down). Was going to cut the run short, but I felt better after mile 3.5. so picked up the pace a bit and kept going. 6.52 miles avg 8.41 pace.

London - 9 weeks to go

Fri 15/02 - A handy few miles along a route I haven't been able to run since October. Roll on the longer evenings! 4.30 miles avg 8.30 pace.

Sat 16/02 - LSR. After last weeks one, this needed to be good, for the head if nothing else. Testing course, plenty of hills, but the psoas & TFL muscles didn't bother me, and I finished feeling good, which I was really happy about. 18.11 miles avg 8.42 pace.

Sun 17/02 - An easy run in the countryside. 4.1 miles avg 8.39 pace.

Thurs 21/02 - Progression run. Oh the cold and the wind . Found it very tough at times, just wanted to stop, but I got it done in the end. 5.35 miles avg 7.58 pace.

London - 9 weeks to go

Sat 23/02 - LSR. This didn't start too good, had a stich after a mile, and I thought I wouldn't be able to keep up with the group. Maybe it was the cold and the early start, but after 5 miles I felt a lot more comfortable. It was a testing route, plenty of hills to get up, but quite a nice run all the same. After about 17 miles, I could feel some discomfort from the TFL/Psoas muscles, but a hot bath afterwards seemed to help with that. 20.06 miles avg 8.46 pace.

Sun 24/02 - Recovery run along the trails of the backstrand. Very cold again, but I'd take that over the wind everytime. TFL/Psoas a little nigglely to start off with, but settled down after that. 4.10 miles avg 9.16 pace.

London - 8 weeks to go

Mon 25/02 - Hill repeats x 10. Felt pretty tired for these. With warm up/cool down 5.50 miles covered.

Tues 26/02 - Wasn't feeling 100% but thought I could run off undertheweather feeling. Wasn't the wisest decision. Felt rotten after it. Tempo run 7.70 miles avg 8.20 pace.

Wed - Fri 01/03 - Sick. High temp, aches & pains.

Sat 02/03 - Knew this was going to be tough having not run since Tues, the first 3 miles were horrible and I was tempted to turn around and head home. Felt better from mile 5-10, but wilted again by mile 11 and my breathing was all over the shop. 18 miles avg 8.37 pace. Pace looks ok written down, but I could not have ran a single step more. Was absolutely shattered for the day afterwards.

Sun 03/03 - Recovery run. No watch, just ran by feel, which was nice for a change. Feeling a bit better too. 4.10 miles.
