    Sky already digging Ancelotti's grave.

What a toothless performance from Chelsea, apart from a 10 minute spell after the ivanovic goal Arsenal won this game at a canter.

Chelsea not out of the running yet but that squad is looking mighty thin right now.

Congrats Arsenal, thoroughly deserved result, should have been more than 3!

Chelsea, the only thing to be thankful for is you didn't have to get beaten by united last weekend.

Great win for us tonight - Djourou played surprisingly excellent tonight though we still do look very shakey at set pieces.

When has the Chelsea-United been rescheduled for?

To say it's a must win for the reigning champions is an understatement now!

Surely Tottenham are going to overtake Chelsea if they don't get-it-together.

Great from Arsenal, crisis for Chelsea.

Could be a pivotal game for Arsenal, they dominanted and clearly deserved the victory. Chelsea on the otherhand look in serious trouble.

Lewis Hamilton? He wishes he had Walcott's pace tbh

Fantastic performance and result tonight from the gunners and i must compliment their overall defensive performance in particular with every player pressing when they lost the ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,692 ✭✭✭✭OPENROAD

Theo is definitely my favourite player in football at the moment.

Very well spoken, finally getting a good run injury free and starting to achieve his potential

Great result for Arsenal. When Van Persie, Fabregas and Walcott are fit together they are great but they are pretty much luxury players. We all know they will all be out in a few weeks time.

With the greatest respect; saying he needs to spend in the transfer market based on the result of one game is absolute bollocks.
It's not. That Chelsea team was very poor and their confidence was low. If, with their strongest front six, Arsenal couldn't put them to the sword, Wenger would have had to go out to buy an established player who would be capable of it to have a chance of winning the Premier or Champions league. By 'established player' and the quality of player I was implying in my last post, I mean that he should buy a proven player and even though Arsenal succeeded tonight, I still think they need a veteran central/defensive midfielder.

Arsenal should have dominated possession and controlled the tempo after the third goal and frustrated Chelsea. Instead, Arsenal played just as risky as the opposition who had nothing to lose.

And what was Fabianski doing for the goal that was ruled offside? It would miss the point entirely to claim that he knew the Chelsea players were offside; he should not have left it to the competency of the referees and he should have saved it.

    We're back baby.
With (albeit half fit) van p, fabregas, walcott in our side we are capable of beating anyone.

The three looked a bit blunt coming towards the end but that fitness will come.

    Diaby back too.

    Vermaelan to come back.

    Things are looking positively rosey.

Great win for the Arsenal, what a match, absolutely delighted with the win. Fully deserved it and is great that Drogba was kept quiet. Djourou was quality and hopefully he keeps his place in the team. Had a feeling before the match that we would pull it off. Sets us up nicely now for the christmas run.

Hopefully the belief will now be there in the big games for the lads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

Very pleased with that. Chelsea falling to pieces really just looking at the two benches before the game was astounding. All this BS about Arsenal's squad is just myth.

    Wigan and birmingham away now.
    Whats the bets.....?
We got 1 point from these two fixtures last year.....
Wouldnt it just be typical us to go and destroy the benefits of a great result by fcukin up.

Id be more worried about the Birmingham away match on saturday as thats a very tough place to get a win, Birmingham have a ridiculously good home record. We would have won at St.Andrews last year but for a horrendous error by Almunia in added time.

I think we should be good enough to beat a wigan side that also like to play open football, but it will be a tough game as well but I think we will win.

Fantastic performance. Song, Djourou, Wilshere, Fabregas, Walcott - outstanding. Clichy was the only one who made too many mistakes which is no surprise.

We are the team of London!

The funny things is that a couple of years ago if you pressed "x" the ball would automatically go backwards in search of a team mate. I learnt it the hard way:(
