I wonder why RTÉ didn't just sneak in and resume airing Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. before Channel 4?

Anyway glad to see it back.

Probably not, on account that Channel 4 would have shown it twice before Sunday night. If they snuck in an exclusive new showing, they could have got a bit of a boost.

Afaik, only the 3rd season has been showing 2 ep on RTE 2 Mon nite @00.45am 3rd + 4th ep aired already

But i see that Universal are showing the same season too:

Time - 08:00 to 09:00 - Class Dismissed. Series 3, episode 2.

09:00 to 10:00 - A Good Shoot. Series 3, episode 3.

When - Sunday 9th March on Universal Channel

According to here Agents of Shield is back on RTE on March 16th (5:30). Looks suspiciously like Channel 4 had exclusivity. Also doesn't seem like a timeslot to grab a ton of viewers.

W1A starts on BBC2 on Wednesday March 19th @ 10pm - the follow up to Twenty Twelve.
