What is "reasonably durable"?

I have a pair of shoes that were bought in early December. They haven't seen much use what with the snow and all because I've been wearing boots and hillwalking runners/shoes to get around. Already though, the front of the sole is coming away. I think that counts as not reasonalbly durable right?

Definitely qualifies as "not fit for purpose" under Consumer Law.
