I can't seem to get any info from authority sites or numbers. Can people provide any info on where water in Mayo has been out, for how long and most importantly if you have got it back or have any information on when it will be back.

    In Ballina:
Sligo Road including knocknalayre and around - out for past 2 days
Libadore Killala Road - out for past 1 day

I have heard second hand that authorities have said it could be out from 2 to 7 days.

The top of Ardnaree...near to the Ballina Golf Club....water has been off since yesterday morning (as in Monday)...still off!!
We are filling our toilet cisterns with water from the Brusna River!!! :D

Apparently the Ballina water problems are due to a burst water main in the town. Areas on the higher sides of town are likely to get water last due to water pressure

I have water in The Glebe but other houses don't.

Had no water up in Balla for 3 days but came on yesterday.

One idea - our neighbors to the right had water but from my house on, no water. So as we are all friendly in this area, we connected the neighbor's hose pipe to ours and fed it into our water tank in the attic. Filled the tank and could have showers, flush toilets and wash dishes. So if your neighbor has water and you are friendly with them, that might be an idea for having one humane day at least.

Good luck and hope the water comes back soon. I hate being without water but at least the snow is gone and roads are passable again.

Changed title.Mayo was a bit broad. Mayo CoCo have updated their site. They have some sort of word doc they say they will update but only local info is:
' Ballina/Killala: Situation Critical. Ongoing restrictions in place in order to maintain reservoir levels. MCC crews repairing leaks'.
Water in Libadore today but not enough pressure to fill tank.

They just updated info to:Ballina Water Supply:
o Situation is critical, Please conserve water.
o Restrictions will continue in all rural areas of Ballina
o In Ballina town, serious difficulties are been encountered in restoring supplies to areas east of the river Moy (Ardnaree).

Up around Ballina Golf Club there was trickling water yesterday morning (Wednesday)...went off again in the afternoon...in the evening the trickling water came back with a bit more pressure...then last night you could hear the cisterns in the toilets fill upstairs...woke up today and everything is back to normal!
Though still keeping reserves in containers as a precaution!:D
