    ok folks,

i have a HUGE amount of ham leftover from Christmas dinner. The turkey/ham ratio was definitely off

So, any ideas what i can make with it?

There really is a lot, so sandwiches really are not an option :):o

Dice or baton some of it to use in carbonara - then freeze it.
Chicken and ham pies - then freeze.
Nasi Goreng rice - then freeze.

Ham freezes really well just sliced, and it reheats well after defrosting too.

We always do quiches after Christmas with the leftover ham.

Coddle, ham & pea soup. Great 'winter warmers'.

    You could make jambons.

We make job-lots of toasted ham and cheese sandwiches with leftover ham, then freeze them to microwave when you land back from the pub. Much cheaper than a take-away - and much nicer!

Also, quiche without pastry is quick and easy to do - cut and freeze in portions for lunches. The OH has a microwave at work and this is a favourite.

    carbonara is another option

Carbonara is the tastiest option and on my list tomorrow.

I have some Maple smoked bacon in the freezer to add to the the flavour.

End of the leftovers for me :D

Cold platters also work well with the munchies, bit of Dijon on the side etc.

I froze 30% of my ham also on purchase.
