    Who scored the equaliser lads?

Complete foop up, nothing more then Birmingham deserve. For me Fergie got the team selection and formation wrong tonight. What was he thinking starting Gibson, more points dropped.

About time they took that donkey off. He had a great chance to make it 2-0 and made a balls of it

Should have brought Chico on sooner.

Far better trying to close out the game while the opposition are throwing forward looking for a goal - rather than after they've equalised.

    Travesty from the officials.

United didn't deserve anything less than a win.

A lot of complaints about Gibson. . .lads, he played much better than Rooney did in that second half!

Get in there , lovin that

Had a feeling this would be a tough one. Fitting way to sign off 2010 with yet another late goal conceded.

    I also enjoyed that.

    Brum deserved the point.

How did that goal stand? handball and offside, ffs, Gibson could have put Berba through to win it too.

Tough game, awful to watch, still... top with games in hand.

exactly , none of those 2 teams deserved to win tonight.

Bad game. Utd gave the ball away too much in last 10 mins

I agree, they were both fairly muck, United were ever so slightly less muck though in fairness.

spot on. Rooney gets another free ride. Have to love the way Andy Gray keeps alluding to the fact it looks like Berbatov is desperately seeking to "return the favour to good ould Wazza" by setting him up. What the f*ck would he be doing that for??? Gibson laid that goal on for him

I reckon giggs, cleverly or even john o shea is a better option than gibson in midfield. He doesn't sprint, rarely tackles and moans like robbie keane when he doesn't get the ball. He is about the only player i despair of when i see the team sheet. If he didn't have a shot on him he wouldn't be good enough to make the championships teams:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Carrick and Gibson in same starting line up in the centre of the park = no surprise at the result or the performance.

    Brutal to watch.

It was marginal, Zigic looked to have handled it. Bowyer was onside though

I forgot Gomes was refereeing that match....

    Fúck! Gutted I am.

Great scrapping performance from Birmingham. It was always going to be hard and I certainly wouldn't be worrying about an away draw to Brum at this time of year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I find it astonishing that United are top of the league frankly. I actually think the team was stronger last season. I think in many ways United and Chelsea have gone backwards and this is why the title race is now more open. Obviously Arsenal and City are stronger than last year but if United and Chelsea were playing the way they were last season then I don't think Arsenal and City would be where they are now. If an English team wins the Champions League I will be very surprised.

that's why he set up the goal tonight? Jesus Christ why do players who set up a goal get criticised over players like Anderson, Rooney, Carrick etc. who were all useless in the final third tonight!

Bit knee-jerk. Chelsea have gone to sh1t and United have started to play well, that's why it's more open.

Van Der Sar should have saved that too IMO

    Ha.

But both teams scored and in the end they got a point each.

I don't think United have scratched the surface though of what they did last season. Same goes for Chelsea. I think the big two have regressed.

    Did you watch the game?
Saw most the ball, bulled the game in the 2nd half, with the exception of the final 10odd minutes.

And even Bowyer said after the game, they didn't really create any chances.
They didn't, they wanted the draw, as soon as they brought on Zigic, stuff happened for them.

We deserved it, but whatever, it happens. :(

He was out there for 86 minutes and thats about all he did. Game over if he scored or set up the unmarked berbatov. Anderson, rooney and carrick didn't have good games but they were trying. Gibson is strolling around waiting for his big shooting chance. Did he ever put in a motm performance cos i've never seen it:mad::mad:

Bit of a sucker punch there at the end. Not many positives to be taken from that game overall.

Watched the whole game. From behind the sofa at times such was the quality. Utd never looked like scoring before the opener, after the first goal, they had no control, no possession, a scrappy midfield war full of miscontrolled play. Neither side dominated. They were hoofing it forward playing on the counter.

Both sides never looked like scoring - 0-0 would've been a fair result.
