Two games in hand and United are 6 points ahead! Would of taken that back in September after a woeful start. All is good:D

Watched the whole game. From behind the sofa at times such was the quality. Utd never looked like scoring before the opener, after the first goal, they had no control, no possession, a scrappy midfield war full of miscontrolled play. Neither side dominated. They were hoofing it forward playing on the counter.

Both sides never looked like scoring - 0-0 would've been a fair result.

Jaysus that was disheartening. After the dominance shown against Sunderland I was hoping for a good win tonight, but fcuk me that was fairly shocking. Defence was grand, a bg clusterfcuk for the goal, though. The midfield couldn't string two passes together and Rooney was absolute cack. Berbatov was the only thing slightly positive.

Must be those new Scouse glasses you got for xmas....

Phillips fouled Ferdinand in the build up and Zigic clearly used his arm to help the ball on, but being honest there was no way either the linesman or referee could have seen either of those in real time and cest la vie.

United just weren't good enough to kill the game off tonight, much as they haven't been all season and it's just as well that everyone else is as bad as we are at the moment.

Really stupid comment considering both teams did score, I mean how does berbatov scoring a goal for united make it look like we didnt look like scoring?

Sickened. Whether or not Birmingham deserved a goal is irrelevant, it simply should not have stood. Though from a United point of view it was disappointing to see the ball constantly hoofed back to the Brum back four in a panic, very time it came near the box.

big teams get all the decisions eh? goal should have been disallowed in 2 instances.

ffs.....2 points dropped in a game we should have been very comfortable in....

Not looking forward to Mitch MOTM comp. Can only think of Berba to put in a top 3, maybe Vidic. The rest don't deserve a place.

Not a great performance overall tonight. I don't know how much having only one day off between playing two games had to do with that, but que sera sera.

Utd seriously need to sort out their away form. If any of the other teams in the top four put consistent runs together, and our away form continues in the same vein, we will be in trouble.

Well done Birmingham. Deserved the draw.

Carrick, giggs, anderson and rooney were all major disappointing. Berbatov did ok but there was nobody running off him. Back 4 were solid. We really missed width tonight

Anyway I'm still astonished that United are top of the league. So many teams at the top are not playing consistently well. Impossible to call amongst the three contenders.

Utds lack of midfield quality shows up again. Never in control of that match. Awful game.

Both teams' goals came from nothing, how hard is this concept to get. Utd were 1-0 up, this does not mean they deserved to win.

There lack of midfield quality was enough to stifle arsenal though?

Giggs nearly scored in the first half, berbatov scored, berbatov hit the post, Vidic had a header saved brilliantly by Foster towards the end of the second half.

That is 4 clear cut chances, where United seemed like they could score, and on one instance, they did.

    Stop talking shíte.

Giggs' cross shot? Surely that counts again under "coming from nothing". Is that United being creative and applying pressure? No.

Would of been a different story if Van persie started and Fabregas. I think Arsenal would of scored at least a goal. Utd deserved to win but your midfield is poor.

No, the ball crossed itself in, of course it came from applying pressure, what a retarded question.

The move was from nothing. The move itself was the standout move in the entire game. It's no surprise that it almost proved the difference given the other 93 minutes it was played in.

There was no inclination of "There's a goal coming here for United" before the move.

So a single mis-hit cross is now pressure? Next you'll be saying Giggs meant it:pac:

I'm not having a pop at united but as an Arsenal fan, I feel it important to say that it doesn't take real quality to stifle us when we're not playing well.

Newcastle shut us out easily, Song scored the only goal against West Ham very late on in a game that looked every bit as dull as tonight's.

Moreover does it really take quality to stifle teams? Do Birmingham and Stoke play quality football? I think not.

Carrick, Anderson and Gibson have their uses but playing the three of them against a team like Birmingham means you're going to struggle to create. For me United are really missing Scholes, Nani and Valencia. The only player tonight that managed to outfox the Brum defence at all was Berbatov.

Helped the midfield out, dropped deep, kept attacks going but the most important thing, he is a geniune threat. Chamakh is good but not as good as Van Persie.

Thought Brum battled well after they went behind though it was a poor game with a pretty sloppy United performance once again, away from home...Still looking for a 2nd away win and New years is upon us.

Any video of the two or three minutes before the goal to see United pin Birmingham on their own goal-line? Or maybe just maybe was just an individual 20 seconds of genius in an atrocious game...?

Van Persie WAS a class, class player. Not anymore though. Chamakh ahead of him every day of the week IMO.

Admitatelly, He has had injury problems and is not yet back to full fitness. I actually though he was fairly good yesterday. His running off the ball and movement were very good. He needs to be more sharper in and around the box but hopefully that comes with games.

I wouldnt agree at all that Chamakh is ahead of him. I think Van Perise has another level that i can never see Chamakh reaching.

If you're going on form yeh could very well say the same thing about Rooney, Torres, Kaka and plenty others.. Van Persie is a class player, and this is coming from a Spurs fan.
