    Few bets on UFC 229.

    Two throwaway €1 bets.

    McGregor by KO/TKO inside 60s @ 14/1

    Fight to finish within 2:30 - 2:59 of Round 1 @ 20/1

An €8 accumulator that will return €186.61 if good on the following.

    S. Pettis
    Waterson
    Lewis
    Ferguson
    McGregor

Anyone think Anthony Pettis by sub at 10/1 is good value?

McGregor to win in round 1 or 2 enhanced from 9/4 to 9/2 on Boyles. Max bet 11e

    Wouldn't say that at all.

Khabib is a very respectful fighter and Conor will offer to touch I think here.

Max bet in a novelty market like this anyway would be for pennies, so not worth it.

Its a tough one Conor has always offered to touch gloves with his opponents but its hard to tell if the hatred between these two guys is just to sell fights or its genuine.

Khabib was asked a direct question on Thursday if he would shake hands after the fight and he said no way. So not a chance of him touching gloves before the fight. And we all heard Conor's response about peace. Zero chance of any glove touch before the fight in my opinion.

What you think about after the fight?

Just saying - It's not a Zero chance.. He's a respectful guy in the end-of-the-day

I think there is more chance they shake after the fight than before it anyway. I actually think win or lose Conor will go to shake hands, I'm less sure about Khabib.

He did say that. But it's can hardly turn around and say "I respect him really much as a fighter, win or lose, we'll put this behind us"

I think Conor def offers the touch. And Khabib probably touches, but might not.
Pist fight they shake hands imo, unless there's some crazy controversial finish.

Just seen paddy powers have McGregor 3/10 to mention his whiskey in the octagon. The return is rubbish but surely that as close to free money as you can get.

Small single bets on Pettis and McGregor by KO on Betfair.

  • Registered Users Posts: 112 ✭✭Johny Cage

Ferguson by KO, TKO or sub 23/20

I have 10 euro on OSP via SUB and a few quid on Conor via KO/TKO.

    snap!

have the double done also of that with conor round one or two at 21.5/1

I have a tenner on Khabib by KO/TKO on Betfair Exchange.

I've lost too many bets where I backed a KO artist versus a wrestler. I fancy Khabib to expose McGregor's cardio like past opponents and go for devastating stoppage. Not sure if stoppage will be KO or submission. Hoping the bad blood means he goes for TKO.

Have Conor by KO in the 4th
Also have the straight win on Conor
Bookie had an offer where they double you winnings in your fighter wins. Amounts to odds of 4.10 for Conor (>3/1) couldn't turn that down

    That will do.

fedor will surely beat chael later on?
one sub loss to werdum and 4 ko losses..lets face it chael won't be knocking
out fedor and a sub would be a longshot

bendo should have little problem winning also

    double only pays 1.75 though
plan was bader and fedor at 1.86 but chickened out as meathead can punch.

also thinking kongo is a bit too big at 13/10 to beat johnson

    edit...that wasn't hard :)

quickest win in kongo's career at 1.08 in the first round.
Not bad for a 43 year old with 40 fights!

I regret not having a decent bet on as it was just too big :(

I know, I know, the Lewis fight and all that, but Ngannou being as high as a +210 underdog against Blaydes is utterly insane.

Hmm. Not sure. Blades is the most in form heavyweight in the UFC now, I know they fought before but that was a long time ago. Nightmare stylistically for Ngannou even on one of Ngannous best day. Tough one to call, I think it's about right

I honestly thought Blaydes would have been a narrow fav not 4/9
Was hoping to have a decent bet on him expecting 4/5 at least
Bookies seem to have written off Frank after one lacklustre performance
If he gets his act together or his confidence back 2/1 would look massive.

I fancy weidman this time to beat luke, just don't think luke is that same fighter since bisping

Lewis will be embarrassed, wouldn't Back him at double those odds
It's a fight he can't possibly win imo
He shouldn't be in there at all even though he kinda earned it
