Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why is Moraga such big odds? He's only lost to the top 2 flyweights and beat Scoggins last loss. Am I missing something here?

I said the same thing myself, WAY overpriced. I dont rate Scoggins myself so i would have been backing Moraga regardless.

Alot of close fights on tonights cards, alot of potential for the betting under-dogs to come up trumps.

Matt Mitrione is 5/4 to beat Derrick Lewis, im going to be all over that.

I might chance a small bet on Joe Lauzon(11/10) because Chiesa's stand up isnt all that great and on the ground they're fairly even , I might even give the edge to Lauzon.

As said before John Moraga is great value at 7/4

And would anyone be surprised if Mousasi beat Souza tonight, I know I wouldnt, and especially at 2/1.

If all the fighters I picked win tonight it wouldn't be a massive upset in the eyes of MMA fans. And lets put it this way, a bet of €5 returns 204.19.

    few small bets

    main bet, treble of
    kelly
    overeem
    lewis
    15/8

    small singles on these

lewis round one 17/10 looks good if meathead decides to stand and bang

    for value alone hopefully
reem round two 9/2 played it very safe v mir last time out when it looked
like he couldve finished anytime he wanted but big ben albeit tough isnt very
good at all but managed to go two rounds with cain so is durable enough
worth a shot when round one is only evens, doubt very much he'll win in
the third as he'll have the first two rounds won and will probably cruise to a
    pts win like against mir/werdum

mousasi decision 11/2 seems huge to me for what looks like a very even fight, really hoping mousasi can win this bet or no bet

treble on above also at 95/1 (all pp)

mad accum that will surely lose also, not worth posting and wont be
posting up like some when it's all over :pac:

can't do any worse that last week...

    went for the double of
    spencer and bigfoot
pays slightly over evens with pp

don't rate paulo thiago so confident enough spencer will send him packing
thiago hasnt beaten anyone of note since swick in 2010 and has lost 6 of his
last 8 fights albeit some of those against top guys
bigfoot a better fighter since beating aa over three round 4 years ago
silva ko looks an obvious one whenever he manages to catch aa

    I've went for Thiago(13/8)/Tibua(4/9) double

Both are pretty much as close as you will get to a sure thing on this card I reckon.

I went for trebles from 5 of:

    Silva
    Spencer
    Tibau
    Alacantra
    Bedford

50 quid will return just under 150 (PP) if they all win but i reckon i'll be doing very well to see my stake returned. I think I may have went with my heart instead of my head in the Yahya/Bedford fight.

    thiago drifting by the hour
now 21/10 in two places, wonder is he fit, they usually dont drift like that without a reason, someone knows something and is profiting as a result imo

seen lentz shorten a lot last week before the fight was called off v oliveira
turned out oliveira wasnt fit to fight

    I'd be wary myself

on another note if i had a winner account i could guarantee profit by backing both
    4/7 v 21/10

663+336 guarantees a return of 42 profit either way
by the time i set up a winner account itll probably be gone

1st punch thrown & Thiago goes down :( not the start I was wanting lol
Spencer is far better at striking

so often the betting tells a story esp in this case
spencers chance was obvious but you couldnt have expected a performance quite that bad by thiago

Same here. Arlovski put a cap on a terrible weeks of bets for me but fair play to him. Have it Sky +'d. Looking forward to watching it now.

I'll need about 6 wwinners in the curragh today to break even for this week.

    sadollah v sexyama

my thinking is sadollah is huge at 6/4 here
sexyama was just plain sh1te when last seen which was feb 12
hasnt fought since by choice and now takes this fight in japan
I cant for the life of me expect sexyama to be any better then when last seen.
amir has been off for 2yrs also with injuries but has been active and has spent a while in thailand training
The amir of today will have no problem beating akiyama who I expect to be much slower than when last seen in action
Ive no doubt he'll die trying here but I see nothing but an easy pts win for amir

anyone have any thoughts on this?

looks to me like the best or second best odds against shot of the year

  • Registered Users Posts: 85 ✭✭broders3

6/4 is big odds for Sadalloh but I reckon it will be close and the chance of a gift decision for the sexy one is strong in Japan.

Both Hunt and Nelson are 9/10 at the moment. I favour Hunt here even though he came in pretty heavy. Worth a tenner I think, might double him up with Jury.

In the same vein as the Sadollah odds Mizugaki is 5/2 against Cruz next week. 3 year lay off against a guy on a 5 fight win streak would be worth a sneaky punt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,432 ✭✭✭weemcd

I'd bet on Hunt myself, better chance of a ko/decision. Roy has a round or less to win after that he gasses like no one else. Hunt has better striking pedigree, should land more and better footwork to keep away from Roy's big right hand.

Suppose Roy could sneak a sub but I doubt it.

it's the only thing stopping me from having a bigger bet on him but I really feel I'll be kicking myself this time tomorrow for not doing so
There's no doubt in my mind it'll have to be a comfortable pts win for it
    to be judged that way
