Ballyhass Flies

Hey, Like many of us I'm turning to comercial fisheries for a spot of trout in the new year, and I was wondering what kind of flies would work for Ballyhass lakes druing the cold weather. I only have a floating line and was wondering would that do or would I be wasting my time ? I would pressume lures (and pretty much anything shiny) would work but I need some advice on the wetflys and nymphs etc.
    Thank you..

This is a good starting place... check out the review...

I have fished it loads of times when over visiting my parents...

Let us know how you get on, and don't be afraid to ask any of the lads there for help, they are more than happy to recommend what setups are needed to catch fish...

"Ballyhass Lakes Lake still has ice but we have broken it up with boats. We should be open to anglers tomorrow (Thursday 30th). Please ring first to check on conditions here"
