look to south west-westerly direction from 7 exactly, keep watching and you will see what appears like a very bright star rising and moving eastwards. At 7.06 it will enter earths shadow and dissapear then.

anyone see this in limerick city, very impressive, 2 planes began to come into view overhead just before the ISS started streaking across the sky, the 2nd plane and the satellite actually flew right through each other from my point of view, amazing stuff.

I swear i could actually see the 'halo' of light on the few clouds we had here, it was that bright!

Each orbit it does is about 1000 miles further west, so it passes within visible range 4 or 5 times a day one after the other 90 minutes apart. But these close passes need to happen close to or just after darkness falls. It will be visible again at 20:39 tonight.

It also passes 2 more times within visual range after that tonight but it will already be eclipsed in earths shadow for them passes, so wont be visible then.

Everyday! but not always visable as it is sometimes during the day when it is too bright and during the night when it is too dark. We get to see it when it passes just after sunset or just before sunrise. Normally that happens for a week or two at a time. Keep a eye here for times are check it out yourself here.

It actually did not pass directly over ireland that time. It will at 20:39, over south cork, but will be invisible from 20:38 though, after appearing around 20:36

20:36-20:37 should be about right. It will appear from the west but will go into the Earths shadow fairly fast so might not be very bright

Its all the same, it just means it will be a bit higher in the sky for you than for someone in donegal for example.

It is much the same for the whole country. The station is about 220 miles high so makes very little difference where you are in Ireland. The further north you are the further south it will appear in the sky to you but not any hugh difference. The ground track below is for the next pass, as you can see it will pass south of the coast of Ireland but because of its height it will appear to come from the west.
