Play xbox through laptop or monitor?

    Is it possible to play my xbox on my laptop, I heard you can get a cable to do this, what kind of cable do I need does anyone know? Is there different brands or anything like that.
    Also would it be possible to play it on a monitor, thing is the monitor has no input cable, only the blue one that goes into a desktop unit?
