Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Fellow AH'rs,

I for one am sick of clicking on post of the day to find something funny or interesting and seeing weather reports.

The snow is gone so who gives a tiny rats ass now???

Sure weather reports are valuable (in the snow) but I want the good stuff back!

    Who's with me??

    HURRAH!!!

/thanks to Micky Dolenz for the re-open, and for the record I think the poster i mentioned does a great job, im just sick of seeing it :D

I have a bigger problem in relation to how i feel about about my insatiable need to pay the extra cent when i run to 20.01 while putting petrol in the car but thats another story!

I work in a shop. They LIVE for the chat about the weather.

And then today, after this old lady had her weather chat, oh the fish shop was closed today! The horror. She needs the fish for Friday, still kept up the Friday fish tradition.

I freaking love old people, truly! Best customers, except for the smelly old men who don't wash.

Post of the Day is one thing, what I can't understand is how the fcuk a Thread about a Calving Pin made Thread of the Day

(Also I'm sure that should read Calving Pen)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,084 ✭✭✭Pete M.

Well for someone with nothing between their ears, M.T. sure does a great job.

    Long may it continue.

Most thanked post gets the title, so why change that now?

    M.T. forever

    (meme anyone?)

Are threads on AH not counted in POD? The depression thread currently has 133 but isn't on that list.

Its more than 24 hours old so gets removed from the list.

In my opinion, post of the day should not be about the greatest number of thanks, as it looks like MT will keep getting it day after day and as much as I have enjoyed the weather forum.. it is hardly post of the day.

I think it needs to be much more varied and more random, there could be posts of the day in forums that are not used by as many people as say the weather forum but they will never get featured :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

Don't mess with MT the guy is brilliant and if he's been getting Post of the day recently, then it's well deserved. Regarding Post of the day, I think I've only ever read three or four since I joined Boards because it doesn't really interest me.

He's sort of ruined thankswhoring for me with his damn useful contributions. That's not the way its supposed to be done. This should really be in feedback but there is already a thread in there about this exact same topic. And about this thread. All very confusing.

I think it a cyclic thing, there'll be a new fad in a few weeks time, probably political crap
