Internet Connection

Just wondering can anybody advise me where to get a connection to the internet to play games online. Not exactly sure what its called. Also my friend has a connection from his playstation 3 where he can go on the internet and watch sport on his tv, is this connection available for the xbox???

Have you got broadband?
The Xbox doesn't have a browser, but does have Sky Player if you have a Sky subscription, not sure how the sport channels work on it though, as I've only the movies.
