Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Softbox for speedlite...

Hello all, looking for some help/advice with choosing a softbox for my Canon speedlite (580EX II).

The one I have in mind is the 60 x 60cm Lastolite Ezbox but I'm not sure if I should get the kit including stand because I've no idea what kind of attachment is on the stand. So I'm not sure if it can be used with other umbrella brackets etc.

Does anyone else have a Lastolite softbox or can you recommend something else? Would I be better off going for the 76cm model?

I've also ordered Yongnuo RF602 radio triggers.

    Thanks,
    Noel.

I've heard good things about this http://www.fjwestcott.com/products/product.cfm?itemnum=2334&tbl=products&head=speedlite

Have been meaning to buy one for a bit, might be worth a look.

I have the smaller Ezybox kit. I haven't used it a while though. The bracket that comes with he stand has a hole for an umbrella. The softbox is very easy to put up compared to my Elinchrom ones. If I was back again I'd get a bigger one.

    I have the Ezybox too.

It was the best option for me - portable, lightweight, easy to assemble and folds down relatively flat. Gives lovely results too. Like this one from last night.

I got the lot (stand, heads, and softbox) for under 200 up in John Gunns. Well worth the money imo.

Thanks all. I went ahead an ordered the 76cm box from Barkers. Can't wait! :)

I use an ''EZ Fold'' Softbox and it works great. I bought it from UK Highland that I seen on amazon: http://www.ukhighland.com/ecom-prodshow/Softbox_60x60.html

It's a great little softbox that comes will every thing you need. to get going. All you need is a light stand. I use it with my Nikon Speedlights with a iShoot wireless trigger.

    Here is it in action:
