Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just to ask ye all does hospital radio have a meaning to broadcast in Ireland and if so should they be a place for the at the radio awards which take place each year in Ireland. I know most of the ppi awards are for commerical radio but the could be a special prize for hospital radios.

The hospital radio awards are the I.H.R.N.awards,and your hospital did win in that afaik.I find it strange to listen to hospital radio because it says in the liners " For the patients and staff " and I think.well this is not for me,so change the station.Another thing that I wonder about is how many of the patients actually listen. If I was outside the area where the station could be picked up.and had to have a hospital stay.I would bring my radio and listen to what would be my usual station. What I am asking is...How would I know the hospital had a radio station?and what kind of programmes it offered to make me change from my usual?.To go back to the awards question.the Hospital and commercial stations have a different licence,so it wouldnt be a level playing field for competition.I did try to listen to a link to the Clonmel hospital station, but it wouldnt work..What I posted is just my thoughts...all the best with the station...Keep us up to date with how things are going,as I think its just the big city stations that get the most coveragesmile.gif

How many hospital stations are left? I work in the medical sector and am in and out of hospitals and I've only ever seen material in South Tipp General (Clonmel) about theirs.

CUH have one, it plays quite good music actually - and from IHRN website, so does St. Ita's in Dublin, CUL and the Maher.
