Have to say it was pretty cold to fcuk with your head that much on race day, you have to respect her commitment to the practical joke. Kudos!;)

    Good news....

    1. Today I can walk without the need for a helper

    2. I can also get my swollen feet into my work shoes and tie the laces :D;)

Well done Digger. Serious achievement given the problems you had with training.

Was there a doubles or quits on the 5K bet? :D

haha, just stalking your photos there. This is you at the finish line asking if the finish is 'over there'?. The fact that you ran past CL waiting to give you a hug, the race director, the timing mats, the finishing bantry and the multiple clocks should have been a clue :pac:

This one is even better!! 'Is the finish line over there?'

Haha! So funny! I was literally roaring my delight that he'd made it to the finish line in one piece for about 36 minutes.... On top of those 36 minutes that I'd already spent waiting for him to finish... ;)

    Sunday - 3 Miles at about 8.10 - 8.17 pace....

The plan now is to do an official recovery period ( 7 - 10 days) and then I'll run the Wexford Half on April 22nd with the 2 hour guys for the craic and then start getting myself in shape for the Kildare Marathon on May 13.

Run with the 2 hr Guys

You should definitely give the Wexford half a good Bash, your PB is long overdue being rewritten. Besides I'm not giving you my free entry if you are just gonna run along with Aimman.

It's also far enough away so as not to affect Kildare.

Oh, maybe I'll just run along with the 1:45 group then.... I'm not even sure what my PB is....

You ran 1:46 in Clontarf last July... was that your best?

I do have a feeling you ran 1:43 at some stage though...

I ran 1:46 in Clontarf:confused: I was still drunk from the night before:eek:

I think the 1:43 was in training

I know I did a 1:45:18 in the series half in 2010.... The other couple of halfs I've done I've been pacing...

I guess it might be time to set a stronger PB

IIRC that one from the race series 2010 is still your official PB so yeah time to go sub 1;40 at least i think. You still don't have the official qualifying time to pace 2hr halfs ;) Time to set that straight!!

Wexford is a good course. A bit of uphill from 2-4 miles but after that it's all flat or downhill.
