    No, it was never taught to him as a child in Spain. It's not how they play the game there.

    Valid point imo.

    Might just fall back on the cliche that he is a striker etc and you expect that of him.

    Honestly, for the life of me I cannot understand why we're not ever even trying Jova up front. The man earned his move playing as a centre forward, just give him a chance ffs, instead of shunting him on the wing all the time.

    The few times he's played, he's really come alive when he takes the initiative and comes centre (exactly how the 2 goals he's scored have come about).

    It might not work out, but why not try?
