In hindsight, probably should have gone with Cole for LB. Just felt he flagged a bit towards the end of the year, but probably could have said the same about Rise or Bastos.

Sorry but anybody who has Lucio down over Samuel hasn't watched Inter Milan this year. Any Inter fan will tell you he was a far better player. Same goes for Puyol over Pique.

Why the hell is Adam Johnson in the nominations there. He had a decent few games for City but not nearly enough to even come close to warranting a nomination. If he got one then Theo should have too.

How was Nani not nominated. He mightnt be the best winger in the world but he's playing miles better than Johnson and Kuyt for that matter. Some crazy selections. Unbelievable that Johnson was chosen. One of his highlights during the year was being named on the provisional 30-man World Cup squad. Not much of an achievement to be fair cause he didn't actually get to go to the World Cup.

I can't see what he has done to merit a place, though.
No doubt he has the potential to be a great player, but Nani(just an example) should be there if Johnson is.
Even Pedro would have more of a claim than Johnson, imo.
