    I went to a skeptics conference in london in Oct (http://www.tamlondon.org/). Was entertaining and informative. They talked a bit about these events.

    When the tickets were advertised at £207, I was skeptical - turned out I was wrong to be.

    Yeah The Amazing Meeting (TAM) gets some awesome speakers, and they get more attendees every year. Hopefully I'll get to one in the near future.
