Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    For a finish I went for the Sony Bravia one. However, it will not recognise my media player via a scart hookup.

    The TV has two scart sockets and both are working. It recognises the DVD on both once it is turned on, but will not pick up the media player (its an Nbox, but I don't think that matters).

    I'm baffled as to why this is. The manual is about six pages of uselessness. The media player used to be recognised automatically on the AV channel of the old TV I had before.

    Can anyone suggest why the new TV is not recognising it?

    At a guess the media box is outputting either RGB or S-video via SCART and the SCART on the TV is either unable to accept these signals or need to be configured in the TV setup menus.

    Check the TV manual and find out which SCART sockets are capable of supporting RGB and/or S-video. Specifications near the back of the manual will tell you under the INPUTS heading.

    Check the media box manual for SCART output settings. Again if there are 2 SCARTS only one might offer RGB or S-video.

    If you still have the old TV, plug the Media Box in and check the SCART output settings in the setup menu and adjust to suit the Bravia.

    Sony are usually pretty good with their connections so at least 1 and probably 2 SCART sockets are fully wired and just need setting up.

    Also make sure you're using a fully wired 21-pin SCART lead and it is pushed into the sockets fully.

    For the record, RGB gives the best picture quality, then S-video, and finally Composite/CVBS which is pretty lousy PQ.
