Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Multi-monitor not using full screen

    Hi all,

I have 4 monitors running on my PC.

Cards: 8800 GTX and 8400 GS.

There are 2 running on DVI off of 8800.

There is 1 running off DVI on 8400, and one running off of VGA on 8400.

No matter which monitor I connect the VGA to, only about 90% of the screen is being utilised, the rest is just a black bar that has no display.

    Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

What resolution are you running all of the monitors at?

On the problem monitor, use the OSD menu (usually just a menu button on the monitor) to choose the Horizontal Zoom, Horizontal Position, and the Vertical Zoom and Vertical Position.

Exactly what does the monitor look like? Is the entire desktop image "squished" into the 90% of the display, or does it appear as though the desktop is out of alignment with the display? If the latter is the case, as above, fix it with horizontal and vertical positioning. If the former is the case there should also be a few options to adjust the stretch and skew of the image.

If none of these seem to work could you post a picture of a faulting VGA screen? It could be that the VGA output on the 8400 GS has begun to fail; the cards were involved in a rather lengthy recall/class action debacle.

    The joy of analog :)

Thanks for the suggestions. There was an auto-adjustment feature on the monitor that seemed to fix the problem. No idea what the cause was, but hey, it's working now.

    Thanks for the help :D
