Can any female runners out there tell me any good sites that I can get a great high intensity sports bra from?

Highstreet retailers dont seem to have a high support, I need something more techicial.

In terms of stuff you can get on the high street - try Debenhams, they do the Shock Absorber bras. (I picked up one of these in the sale, I'm quite fond of it)

    Online - try Less Bounce.

Shock Absorber all the way for me. I've tried a few but the D+MAX - B109 seems to suit me best. It's a level 4 high impact bra, nothing fancy, but has seen me through a lot of running(I think I've had about 8 over the last few years, and have just ordered another 2 yesterday).

Once you know your size there's loads of online sites. I actually go through ebay usually. Amazon also do some. Wiggle is a good sporting goods site, but I didn't find any of these particular bras there.
Other than those, there's a good few underwear specialist sites too. do a search with the bra item code and you'll see what comes up.

Note: I think these start at D cup, so if that doesn't suit then just ignore this entire post!

I've a sizeable chest and use the extra high impact bra from M&S; it's a racer back put on over your head and then has normal clips at the back. It's like a mix between a normal bra and a bra top. I've tried quite a few and personally found this to be the best support. They're normally €24 but are currently in the sale for €12!

I've got loads of these too - they seem to be phasing them out though in favour of a crappy zip-front design :(

Ah no way, hate the zippy thing...eek...better go stock up on them! Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the feed-back, I have 2 shock-absorbers, which I only find ok I usually wear an airbourne bra top over them for extra support.

    I'll check out your recommendations.

Its so annoying having to tpe the ladies down! reckon I could run faster if I didnt have them! ;) we'll that my excuse!

Hehe, in fairness there are quite a few of us who aren't exactly small up top and it doesn't hold us back :pac:

Which Shock Absorber ones do you have?

I'm not sure what style it is, I'll check it out , Its a high support one but I'm a 'G' cup so I'll prob just find them all the same. Ones I have dont have individual cups if you know what I mean? I think its just coz I messing the underwire I dont feel supported.

I have had lots of problems getting something to give good support too and also look reasonably human (I have an objection to those sports bras that make you look like something out of a Madonna video :D)
I have a couple of the racer back ones from M&S but dont find them as good as this one:
    http://www.boobydoo.co.uk/sportsbra/productdetail.cfm?productid=93&sourceid=9

Its designed specifically for running and I find there is no movement with this one!

Hee hee, Booobydoo - cool name! That looks like a decent bit of equipment - will be keeping this in mind should M&S let the zippy bras take over!!

I have one of these, but still prefer the older style B109. I find this one makes me look like I have one big boob... very unflattering :(. And I find it really tricky to get on / off with that back!? I suppose it gives decent support though.

Moving Comfort Fiona sports bra from lessbounce.co.uk

Super comfy, stands up well to being washed numerous times a week, doesn't look too horrendous.

    From personal experience

    Shock Absorber - utter rubbish
Enell - it does work but is super ugly and can be rather restrictive if you put on any weight. I chucked mine in the end as I gained a bit of weight and couldn't breath in the damn thing. Plus it was ugly as sin. However, if you're a d cup or larger then I'd go for this. NO other bra compares.

Just to let you know that the sports bras in M&S Liffey Valley have been futher reduced to €7 but the back sizes are limited to the smaller sizes (plenty of cup size choice).

Might also be worth checking the (very quiet) Tallaght branch, sale stuff tends to linger for quite a while there. Got a few bras (non-sports :pac: ) there the other week long after my size had disappeared from Dundrum's sale stock.

    Hello again!

Bravissimo are having a sale on their sports bras at the moment - they do Shock Absorbers and Freya.

Just my own little input here... I got a sports bra last weekend in TK Maxx for €6 and it was a great shock absorber. Ive really big boobs and need supportive bras the whole time but couldn't even consider exercising without a serious boulder-holder on and this one I got is the best yet!

I am G cup too and I have a couple of really supportive sports bras! Ones that literally I bounce up and down and they don't move at all!!

I use this one and find it brilliant: http://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/sports-bras/royce/sports-bras/ro10-details.aspx?colour=grey-marl&ck=C0ltqxqea5Q%3d

I'm a JJ cup so as you can imagine, jogging was not fun before I discovered this bra!! :D
