Hedliners 4 Th Birthday Review +Happy New Years

Well its hard to put into words what a great night it was but il try lol....

The night started off with one of Hedliners first ever residents making his welcome return,Barry D kicked started the night in fine fashion playing a few classics that rocked our floors over the past 4 years...I think Cliff Coneraads mix of the all time classic "Luvstruck" got the place moving the most....By the end of Barry's set the place was already nicely full,

Next up was Kilkennys Dj House Project who kept the tempo moving nicely.,..He played a really nice chunky set dropping one or 2 Michael Woods tracks which wrecked the place...By the end of Dj House Projects set the place was jammed which was great to see.Was a mixed crowd of old locals and big crowds from Carlow,Limerick,Tipp and the few Dubs made the short trip down the M9

After that we had a Limerick dj making his long over due Hedliners Debut....Dj Ninjatek came on a dropped a set that id say Scot Project himself would of been proud of...He took the tempo up a bit and destroyed the dancefloor (and Beer Garden) dropping some proper hard trance beats....

Next up was an old Hedliners fav in the shape of Andy Richmond who has played for us countless times and never fails to impress...when he got on the dexs the place was already rocking.from the front door to the back door every 1 was smiling .Andy dropped his new track Megamind which got the place moving even more.he finished up with the latest Bootek (la la Land) which was a perfect way to end a rocking set...

After Andy we had Darren Rice take control the Dex's,and that he did... he played his own mix of techno that went down very well to the sell out crowd...the dreaded countdown at midnight was fast approaching.Me and Darren had spoke all week about what would work best but hadn't decided on a final track...the count down comes 5,4,3,2,1 bla bla then bang..one of my favourite tracks of all time TAUB....YOUR NEXT STOP THE TWILIGHT ZONE...the say it got the place moving to another level is an understatement...its been long long time since Ive seen an atmosphere like that in kilkenny!!!

Then the main man himself came on Mr Scot Project!!!...Scot started off playing some new tracks off his new album...They were a mix of trance an techno i thought anyways which caused havoc on the dance floor.Every 1 was loving his new stuff i knew Scot was going play a few classics at the end so i couldn't stop smiling,Then he dropped his mix of Renagade Master,Sueno ,FM1 and the mayhem took off from there.,Coming to the end of Scots set he dropped "Thunder in Paradise" which got the huge response it deserved,.haven't heard Scot play that since Godskitchen in 2002.Last tune of the night of "Overdrive".Im not normally a fan of this tune but it was the perfect was to end a great night!!!!!!!!

We managed to raise some well needed funds for ENABLE IRELAND which made all the hard work for this gig worth it...BIG BIG thanks 2 every 1 who the made the night what it was,,, and to all the djs ye Rocked it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Id also like to thanks every 1 behind the scenes at Hedliners who helped over the past 4 years and mainly the last year,its been a bumpy ride but we are still here.Thanks to Eric at Inferno Ireland for all the late nights he has put in,to Tristan for doing great lights and visuals through out the year....To every 1 who has helped promote our events,All our Dancers Jemma,Claire,Susan,Ciara and Nicola Thanks 2 Mark Young at Hard Breed,Darren Rice @Beatfm for the huge support.....Theres more people behind the scences ye know ye are lol
