There used to be a place on Westmoreland Street called Wonder Burger.
Their wonder-burger and chips were the business. Beat McD and BK by a mile.

I wouldn't touch any of those large franchise burger joints with a damn barge pole. They suck. Their grub is revolting and full of steroids, grease and sugar. If I want a burger and chips I prefer to go to a Mom-n-Pop greasy spoon cafe or a pub. I actually like drinking a glass of dry white with a bacon-cheezeburger and chips :D

If anything I'd vote for big sloppy Abrakebabra Doner (after a belly full of ale).

any proof to back up that claim ? ..... you are entitled to your opinion but claiming its full of steroids ??? thats just not on .... Grease and Sugar I would probably agree (well... sugar....salt and other junk....maybe....but I've never been involved in the manufacturing side of things) .... steroids thats a bit harsh.

I like Big Macs, Whopper with cheese and GBK Habanero burger all equally. I agree Ricks fall apart easily but they are also quite tasty.

Cant stand Maccy D's. The odd time I go the BurgerKing I go for the Double Angus Burger.

Abrakebabra don't do kebabs, not real ones anyway, plus aren't they a franchise as well.

Whopper wins hands down :p Burger King rules over McDonalds... Although I do love their double cheese burgers.

Their grub is full of steroids.

Normally you'd have to pay extra for that.

It's a Mac for flashers that is fur lined for the cold weather.

    Oh it's mighty.

If it's beef then the Whopper is King :)

If it's chicken then the KFC Zinger is outstanding :)

    I'm salivating here now... :(

Big 4 meal any day please :)

Anyone from the North West here will know what I mean!

Prefer the Chicken Fillet my self.

    ;)

I went with the last option, not a burger man at all I''m afraid! Chips and a few tenders any day!

Whopper any day but with country wedges instead of their fries.
Something about McDs leaves me unsatisfied shortly after.

Big chicken boorger from the chipper please

Has to be the whopper. Suprised and pleased to see it leading the pack. Most people I know prefer Mc D's. Why I don't know.

Don't know where the meat comes from that goes into the burgers in McDs in Ireland but it tastes the same as the crap I've eaten in the US.

If you read my post you would observe that I referred to "large" franchise ... you know the big global ones.

Double quarter pounder in McDs. It's what the Big Mac should be.
Voted Quarter Pounder because it's the closest

I'm usally making my way to 'best' or the 'sligo kebab house' at that time.

    :D

I don't like really big burgers like Big Macs. If I was having a burger, it'd be the little bacon double cheese from BK, mmm.

Unfortunately I have never had the pleasure to grace Sligo with my presence on a night out! I usually make my way to 4 star for a 9 inch pizza followed by battered sausages and chips from a next door chipper.

To say I feel it the next morning would be an understatement mind you :(

Whopper. They're expensive though, best part of a tenner for fast food. Maybe I'm just too cheap :/

Whoppers are horrible, if your in BK it has to be the Angus

In any case the Big Mac is by an absolute mile the best of the fast food burgers

Whopper in the lead with 64 followed by 31 psychopaths with no taste buds

    Big Mac ftw

    No GBK in Poll :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 197 ✭✭rich1874

The only things Mac's has better than BK are the desserts and the toilets. Burgers, chips, chicken all way better in BK. Even the damn tea is better.

Double Quarter Pounder would be just a bit too much meat for me - my fave McDs burger is the Quarter Pounder. The Big Mac is just two small hamburgers put together with far too much bun and bread. It's also very, very bland tasting.

Just had a whopper half an hour ago and it really is king of the fast food burgers!:pac::)

big king and Xl big king and the fact there never seen on the menu in BK makes em more mysterious ha

The Three Pepper Angus Burger - cheese, peppercorn sauce, crispy strips of onion and pepper and sweet pepper.
    yummyyyyy

BK Angus for me followed by a whopper

In-N-Out Burger is the best by a long way.

    Indeed.

None of those in Ireland though is there? please let there be a proper authentic west coast style one!!!

there have been times when I have turned down burgers simply because they were an insult to the double double.

Quarter Pounder from Borza on Cromwellsfort Road is my favourite.

For the purposes of the poll I voted a Big Mac although I am partial to a furry burger.

KFC Zinger is by far the tastiest - also it's healthy too as chicken is virtually fat free!

awful ****e but snigger moment everytime you order one (once in my case!)
