Snowing a good bit in Trim now and it's starting to stick. How is that even possible given the rain we've just had:confused:

Left Kilkenny at 5.15, where it had been raining since approx 3.00 pm. Travelled via Urlingford and Thurles to Borrisoleigh where I saw the first lying snow at 6.15. This was the dividing line.
Very tricky drive from there to a few miles SSW of Nenagh as snow got progressively deeper on the road.
At approx 8.00 pm we had about 6.5 cm of lying snow here. Still falling but it is extremely light now. By far the most snow we got so far this winter.

It's snowing in Kingscourt. Don't know how far Ballyconnell is from there.

Flakes are getting smaller here. I don't think it's going to snow for very long:(

Notice how nobody in Dublin is complaining about the rest of the country getting snow?!?!?!? Notice how there are no demands being made for regional threads?!?!?

I'm delighted for people in cork who got their snow, they were letdown so many times! Congrats to everyone else who got some flakes!

While it would be nice to get a flurry in dublin and nicer if it sticked but we've been spoiled for the last two years, that coupled with the traffic problems, paths being treacherous, problems for elderly etc getting around etc im sort of relieved it didn't happen for Dublin. Maybe in a couple of weeks!

Good Lord what are you doing here then?

Precipitation (sleety) has restarted here - we had a band of moderate rain/sleet earlier. Temp is +3C so I don't see this sleety rain turning to anything other than maybe rainy sleet. :(
