Hi, i'm soon due to retax my 2009 1.9tdi caddy van, and i'm wondering if anyone else has taxed theirs, and how much were they set back by the rules being enforced. It will be for private use (as in getting to work and home), but i'm hoping theirs a way i can stay on the €288 tax. Thanks

As far as I know renewal does not present a problem as a declaration has already been made, however you may have a problem if you come to the attention AGS or customs.

    +1

If you've declared your car as commercial and are caught driving it privately, you've committed fraud, a criminal offence. If convicted, you'll have a criminal record and just as an example - you won't be allowed into the USA, you won't be able to get certain jobs, etc.

Is that risk really worth the couple of hundred saved?
