Im finally going to get my act together and finish off my postgrad course. Then I'll buy some brasso to polish the halo of my wife as she's put up with a lot from me while I've been doing it.

I thought I'd change tack for my new year's resolution 2011 - wasn't it Einstein who said that to correct something by employing the same faulty methods over and over is insane? Yeah so my new year's resolution is to try not to be so insane and to aid me in my search for sanity I thought I'd try to be more honest. By that I mean try and say what I mean more as opposed to saying nothing or what I think other people want to hear. For me anyway, a lot of my issues come from having felt that I couldn't say what I really thought or felt. It's a big challenge to go around saying what you actually think to people without running into trouble very quickly and involves much delicacy and diplomacy to manoeuvre onself around with this attitude so actually what I really mean is that for 2011 I'm gonna try and engage in open communication more than I have been doing. And please read a big emphasis on the "try" verb there
