I put my JR out to ride 2 years ago,4 pups and we just give them to whoever wants them, friends and family that is so you know they will be looked after.

Full-bred as well so they are.

jack russel is a very nice dog,
very cute, very nice and enjoiable company,
to adults and especially small children,
very smart, barks if something or someone is trying to do something to owner,
very nice dog,for people with no children,
it hasn't been hitten or roughly treated by me,
is a great dog loves playing with children,
it has and does no harm to small children,
knows hot to go outside and go toilet,
    is able to sleep outside,
    and is 8 weeks
Very humourus when you read it as a poem.

it hasn't been hitten by me

maybe he means "has not been hit on by me." he may have had some accusations of beastophilia in the past and wants everyone to know the dog is still in factory standard condition

Full-breed dogs are horrible. They usually have so many health ailments, mongrels are much better and, quite often, a lot cuter.

My dog is cute, girls love him :(

But I know what you mean, seen a show where they outlined the effects of inter-breeding dogs to keep the good traits. All show dogs and it was disgusting carry on.

Maybe he means "it hasn't been bitten by me."

Man bites dog was a great Irish Times column a good few years ago.

So he probably meant that the dog hadn't bitten him
hence he hadn't bitten the dog.

There is nothing that could adequately explain that train wreck of the English language to me.

technically all jack russells are mongrels they are not a recognised breed ;)

Why the drama over the thread title?

It's lifted from the Gumtree ad.

My parents told me we were getting a rescue dog. I came up expecting a Saint Bernard but when I got home it was this tiny fluffy puppy. She's adorable and so much fun, but ain't no Saint Bernard.

I have a little brown and white one. He's 6mths old and just adorable:o. He has with the cutest little face and softest chocolate button eyes. I love the little bones of him. He's my sweet little muffin.

That's just a tad over the top.

I have a great dane from one of the top breeders in the UK and there is not one single problem with him nor any of his litter mates, nor his parents, obviously, otherwise they would've not been bred.

Any dog coming from any background can have so many health ailments but there is no evidence to suggest full-breed dogs usually have so many health ailments in comparison to mongrels.

I think that's a slight exaggeration but I'd agree 100% about them being cuter! I've a soft spot for mongrels. I've a JRT-King Charles cross and a German Shepherd-something else cross (rescue dog). They're like my little hairy babies! :o:D

    ^^^^^

Oops! Seems I took that as an opportunity to show off my doggies again!

Ha ha - point of posting here - 250 is way too f.cking much dude!

You're bound to find a JRT in a shelter (unfortunately) or for cheaper.

They're recognised by the Kennel Club since last year. Pity, plenty of idiots will now go and overbreed them and produce some terrible dogs.

    My own two:

I was never going to pay €250, even €50 would be pushing it. I just thought the ad needed to be shared with the good people on boards.
