    WHO ARE WE?

The Rebel County Rollers are a Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby league based in the South of Ireland dedicated to the development and promotion of Roller Derby as a recognized and admired female team sport in this country. We place emphasis on the physical, competitive and athletic prowess of our members and the nourishment of the individual character and person of everyone involved in our league.
Alongside intense training and competition we also aim to foster community spirit and promote altruism by dedicating time to giving back to our local environment and our loyal supporters through community outreach events, training programmes and charity work. We are influenced by the culture of athleticism, camaraderie, acceptance and sheer physical commitment at the centre of Roller Derby and intend to carry this with us in our daily lives, encouraging others to do the same.

This sounds awesome and right up my alley but I haven't joined any group type things since primary school! I'd be far too shy to go. :( Would love to have a new hobby, used skate when I was younger!

    What's the general age group??

Any over the age of 18 is welcome and you won't meet a better group to skate with. most only picked up skating this time last year. ages range from 18-30something but then again, its rude to ask a womans age. ;) I'm supposed to be refereeing it and can't skate at all so at 29 I have to get on skates for the 1st time. Hopefully we'll see you there and definately check out their FB page.
