hope you guys can help... my 7 year old fridge freezer (freezer part) gave up over christmas...full of stuff. Insurance are breaking my XXXXX to get confirmation from an electrician as to the cause of the fault in order to pay up for both freezer and food. otherwise no dice. How the hell can i do that? most electricians dont specialise in small appliance work. What should the answer be to be able to claim?

    Thanks for your help.

Just tell them the compressor failed in it. Could be the stat too. How much proof do they want?

Id believe anything when it comes to insurance, take your money for years then when something goes wrong they do everything to avoid paying. Will the insurance place pay for you to get someone to go looking at the fridge to tell them its out of order i wonder.
