1st payment question

OK so my stamps ran out before xmas. Got my first JSA payment today which was for the week 23rd december. I only got paid 5 days rather than 6, am wondering do you have to miss 1st days payment, when you claim JSA

No there are no waiting days. But Jobseeker's Benefit payment week runs from Thursday to Wednesday, Jobseeker's Allowance runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. So you got paid for 5 days as you would have received the other day on your Jobseeker's Benefit.

so that payment was for 23 to 28 dec.

when will i get payment for 29th dec to 4th jan?

I would have thought that should have been in the PO for you yesterday - best to ask at your local office.
