Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Torres with one leg would have a field day against Evans

Not a hope. They lost to Wolves for god sake. Liverpool are NO threat up from. Evans will be more than fine

Aurelio is a huge weakness in the Liverpool team imo, I think Konchesky is miles better than him. And no I'm not saying Konchesky is anywhere near world class by the way or anything like that.

Aurelio is the weakness alright but he's still far better than Konchesky. Nani needs to get at him early as thats where we should be most successful.

Aurelio takes a nice dead ball so thats something we'll have to watch out for.

as usual, you're entitled to that opinion, but i just don't see it.

when fit, Konchesky isn't fit to lace Aurelio's boots.

I'll be surprised if that's the Torres we see today. It will tell multitudes if it is.

Stunned Anderson is not playing but that team is more than strong enough to get a positive result.

Yeah we'll have to agree to differ. The other big problem you have is the indiscipline in a formation sense of Agger. Interesting to see if he stays where he is supposed to in this one.

Miles better? Really? Konch is one of the most below average players I've ever seen in a Reds jersey. At least with Fabio you know you're getting a decent performance, a danger at set pieces and corners and an excellent crosser of the ball. Konch is a liability at best

Some managers allow, even encourage, defenders to roam.

You have full-backs and defensive midfielders there to cover when he does.

Just because Roy couldn't fathom that sort of creative thinking . . .

i'm more worried about Skrtel than Agger in all honesty.

i'd hope, at OT, Agger won't have too free a licence to do his roaming from CB.

some, but not enough to fúck us up, but sure that's what Lucas/Mereiles will hopefully be for.

3-1 United if LFC dont park the bus in front of goal . if they do i can see a rubbish game .0-0 or 1-1 .still cant wait for it , in all fairness the way the teams are lined up ,it looks likes it will be a cracker. best of luck :D

I really hope there is a result either way today. Obviously I'd prefer a United win but I'd hate to see it going to a replay. The last thing United need is more fixtures.

Impossible to call as always in these fixtures but I'll put my red (United) tinted glasses on and go for 3-1 to United.

If you're using a Sky box, tune it in to other channels. Full instructions on the satellite forum.

Christ I hate utd pool matches. I'm hoping for a utd win but wouldn't be surprised to see an upset. I don't think it will ever matter where these two teams are in the table in relation to each other, the rivalry runs too deep to let form win through!

I was gutted not to see konchesky and Johnson playing, real weak links fro Liverpool.

Ah come on. You can't be serious?? You should know from the last 3 seasons that Torres, no matter what form he is in, can score a goal out of nothing at any time. I'd be so much happier if he wasn't playing no matter what form he's in.

Also I think you words may come back to haunt you.

Evans - this is the game he has to show what he's made of, been off par so far.

Slight doubt over Vidics fitness Setanta are saying.

Plus Rios first foul of the season was the lazy trip that led to the peno against West Brom, what a stat!

    Should be a great game

I'd bet that ITV got the formation wrong.

It will more than likely be:

    Lucas---Meireles

    Kuyt
    Gerrard
    Maxi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Oh and forgot that it being an fa cup tie, the away allocation is so much bigger.

9000+ Liverpool fans will make for a great atmosphere for the game and make it a .............. Real cup tie atmosphere. :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,219 ✭✭✭✭Pro. F

United team is very weak. I'm very worried about J Evans, but hopefully he can surprise me. Neither Anderson nor Scholes is a worry too.

Are ITV right about the Liverpool formation? They're saying that Kuyt will be upfront, Gerrard in the middle and Meireles on the wing. Poor choice if true.

    Hardly, I wanted him sacked.

Can still recognise the ignorance and bias against him in the media
