    Hi,
Have re-decorated a room that wasn't used that much. got a new fire surround but didn't change chimney which is unlined. It has an open fire which wasn't lit for a long time. Lit it a few times and it was fine, got the chimney swept and now when it's lit and then goes out, there's a smell of soot all over the place for days afterwards. Anyone know what the problem could be, the sweep said the chimney is cold and give it time but smell is terrible.
