Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Income Tax Refund

Hopefully the right area !! :)

Will be moving to the USA in February so will be paid by my current employer for January and February.

The last time I left employment (years ago) and was heading abroad I remember dropping forms into the Tax office, telling them I wouldn't be working in Ireland for the rest of the year and got a lot of income tax refunded..I remember it depended on the time of the year as to how much you got back I guess.

I'm wondering if this is the same does anyone know? i.e. after Feb can I apply for a tax refund for unused credits etc..for the full year?

    cheers.

Yes, you can get the credits back for the full year but not till January 2012 unfortunately.

A P50 form is what you need.
