    I just went to the community welfare officer and explained my situation.I just signed on 3 weeks ago,I was away on holiday for the year.I wnet down to see if I could get any money and he gave me a cheque,can I cash this cheque straight away?I remember a few years ago I did the same thing and they gave me the same cheque and I could cash it that day.

    yes you can go to the local post office and they will change it you might need id
