Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A friend of mine wants to buy a DSLR camera.
The only place she found that you can buy it on monthly payments interest free is Harvey Normans + Flexirent. The problem is that HN price is kinda steep - 700 eur for 500d kit (sales advisor said he`d throw a photobag in aswell) .
Would there be any other alternatives to this?

Get a credit union loan and buy on-line, ok they'll be interest but you'll still likely pay less then buying in harvey normans even with the credit union interest rate :)

Here's an example and it isn't even the cheapest
Canon EOS 500D Digital SLR plus 18-55mm IS Lens

Don't be tempted by the free gimmicks sales people throw in, they are normall poor quality and can be picked up easily after.

I agree with Cabaal. I priced a camera last week with HN and it was was €150 more expensive than a on-line store that has high street outlets. The camera was supposedly at a sale price!

Argos. €619 for a 500D with lens kit, not a bad price and 6 months interest free.

..but DO NOT miss the final balloon payment, you'll be bumped in to a high interest loan.
