just a quick question. a friend of mine is on about setting up a ltd. company but will be the only employee of the company. so i'm not sure if this makes them self employed or not? the are on social welfare at the moment and was told that if the company is dissolved with in a year of starting the are entitled to dole Etc.…

just a quick question. a friend of mine is on about setting up a ltd. company but will be the only employee of the company. so i'm not sure if this makes them self employed or not? the are on social welfare at the moment and was told that if the company is dissolved with in a year of starting the are entitled to dole Etc. i was always of the opinion that self employed people were not covered by social welfare. so in recap

1. will she be self employed if registered as a ltd company?
2. will she be entitled to benefit if the company is dissolved within the first year?
