Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

mails come through automatically on the phone, so I read 'em as i would if a text came through!

I don't check it - if I'm online then an alert window pops up, if I'm not then my phone beeps and lets me know I've got mail & I can read and reply as I do to text messages. :)

In work, constantly. Outside work, once an hour

At a desk all day unless I'm in meetings; my work mail is in outlook and all of my Webmail accounts are in Thunderbird so I'm alerted any time I get a mail.

Outside work, my gmail comes through on the phone, same as text. Don't check my work mail unless there is a special reason.

Outlook alerts me if I get a mail and I check my hotmail a few times an hour, outside work I turn on push emails on my phone so they come through automatically for both accounts.

I've mine nicely filtered so only get notified of important stuff, everything else can wait until I'm in the mood.

work email is always open and gets checked when ever I walk by it.
    Personal email is every day.

Personal email and personal work email linked to phone. So they still arrive in straight away.

My Gmail? Maybe once every 2 days, I get nothing but newsletters from sites I signed up to years ago when I was looking for obscure drivers for customer machines.

At least it's like somebody cares about me...................*sniff* :(

At work, I'm always getting mail..............about penis enlargement...................I think my co-workers are trying to tell me something.

Android + Push email so I never really do much "checking" as such.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 800 ✭✭✭niallers1

I get about 100 emails a day so every couple of minutes

The trick is turning the feckers off. Have a work email on constantly that alerts me, a semi-work-semi-private I check at least once an hour or so, and a private email I check maybe 2 - 3 times a day.
