    American acting legend Brian Dennehy is set to join Ryan Tubridy for a chat on 'The Late Late Show' tonight. Also on the show are Irish film director and writer Neil Jordan, Boyzone star Mikey Graham and comedian Neil Delamere. Always liked Neil Jordan but he's been on the LLS show several times over the years as has Graham. Let the onslaught begin. :pac:

    Delamere isn't the worst of them; he could have picked far worse out of the RTE Canteen this morning.

    @ mikom

    You forgot the obligatory recession stories;

    "How has this affected you?"

    "I've no job, lost me house, lost me wife, lost me cat. Why isnt there a NAMA for the people Ryan?"

    ....And thats why I won't be watching it. Might go make a snowman instead :)

    so it's all showbiz types tonight, what happened to the days when the later later show was issue-driven, i like a balance between both but it's gone too much in the showbiz direction in recent times which brings to my second point

    the ratings for the later later show are through the roof at the moment , highest in 12 years which in this era of multichannels, dvds, blurays, digital dv, downloads, online gaming and net is something else- can someone please explain how this daintly little bugger and his cringeworthy interviews are drawing in the masses?

    Is it because the housewives/ladies/teenagers are more drawn to the showbizzy type guests thus boosting the audience?

    If that's the case I'm disgusted, forgive the gross stereotypical generalisations but I beseech the housewives, ladies and teenagers of Ireland to ask more of both their entertainment shows and their brain cells.

    Do I have a point or am I just bitter, misogynist, evil genius etc etc?

    Brian Dennehy's biggest role was his cameo in South Park: The Movie, at about 1 minute in.

    Excellent, someone from Boyzone. It's been days since I last saw someone from Boyzone interviewed on RTE and I imagine there is a lot to talk about.

    or will he ask him about his (Mikey's) burgeoning cinematic career - maybe even about his role in the classic that is "Fatal Deviation" - see 10 seconds into this link... "You made me look bad and that's not good" - immortal line....

    Boyzone/Westlife - tick
    American with Irish connections - tick
    New RTE "celebrity" - tick

    Not looking good for Neil Jordan.
