    Rolys bistro near he bridge in ballsbridge. the schoolhouse near the canal are 2 nearby places. they used to be pricey (but Good!)

    Baan Thai is just across the road from the RDS - it's just over Paddy Cullen's pub, and the food is delish...

    I would highly recommend Roast - it's a new restaurant beside Crowe's Pub in Ballsbridge opposite the RDS. It specialises in seasonal food - beef, lamb, pork belly etc. I was there last night and had a fabulous steak followed by a yummy brownie with pistachio ice cream. Atmosphere very nice - it was busy for a Tues evening which is always a good sign and it's very well priced for the quality of food you get. Menu and price list is available online so you can check it out in advance but I've no doubt you'll be happy with it.
